yes, that's what I said. You play well and you can't lose.

You just get your pay rise at your current club or you get it elsewhere.

Peckham.

Balbuena is 5 years older than Diop. That's half a top level career.

yes why wouldnt they? theyve spent consistently. Diop seems a genuine character, he's one of the few that makes the point of applauding fans at the end of a game despite the result. Walks round the whole pitch (or a small oval by the time they cut the corners). Usually with Noble, Snod and Rice.

But you're EXPECTED to play well, not just make up the numbers.

Your current package reflects that. If you exceed expectations, the, yes, ask for a rise, but prove you're worth it.

In any case, despite the (sponsored) hype in the MSM, Manchester United are no longer the club they once were, they now play a very second fiddle to Manchester City, and even Liverpool.

Another mediocre season and the wheels will start wobbling on the merchandise barrow, and that is what they, the premier league and television (advertisers) fear most.

That's how it goes isn't it. You play well, you get interest you then either get your pay rise at the club your at or you get it at your new club. Player never loses. But then that's the reward for being decent.

Re: Man United in for Diop
Yeah Lato, silly me. How could I have overlooked that Pearson spent three seasons with us during which the team played nearly 140 games and Stuart was able to play in 25% of them. And silly of me to neglect his massive strike rate of a goal every 510 minutes.

By comparison Andy Carroll, goal every 353 minutes seems proloific.

Comma, calm down fella just saying.....

That raspberry made a major contribution in us winning our one and only major trophy in nearly 40 years

Is the side is worth quite a bit to where we are in the league due to how much they have spent and who they have employed, why wouldn't the owners take the credit?

to be fair its nice to have players with a good sell on value, this means the Dave's now see the point in spending big and not taking constant gambles on end of carreer playersi, injury prone and journey men .

it should be straight cash or nothing. any player going there is only going for the money now. surrounded by cunts like lingard, they're a long way from ever winning the league again

45m and McTominay, i guess that's not a bad deal but if it's true and I hope it's not why do we roll over every time anyone bids for our players.

Re: Man United in for Diop
Interesting comments with regard to Stuart Pearson.

I have just checked the ‘West Ham stats’ website and his record with us is as follows:

Played 39 (including 11 subs) scored 10 goals.
He played for us from 18th August 1979 until 2nd Feb 1982.

Among his 10 goals were the vital equaliser in the FA cup semi final and the 1-0 winner away to Dinamo Tbilisi (after losing 1-4 in the first leg.)

Another notable goal was in the now famous match against Cambridge that was played on a skating rink. This was the match when Bill Remfrey constantly played ‘In Dulce Jubilo’ at half time for the 11,000 hardy souls to pogo up and down in order to keep warm.

I seem to recall that it was Pearson’s knees that he had the problem with. Lyall used him quite sparingly because of this.

If we want to keep our young good players we better really push on for some glory next season.....Another mediocre season could cause some of the better players to move on....

Looks like Europe or bust to me, if we want to keep the likes of Diop around, assuming he doesn't go this summer of course.

Pelli and the Dildo Bros know this, this could be a blessing in disguise, force the owners to splash more than they had planned......We're only a couple of pieces away from challenging the top 6.

Re: Man United in for Diop
He is an excellent player. Will get better over the next couple of years. He has dealt with the physical side of PL easily. Our side is worth quite a bit then? owners will take the credit.

big test this for the dildo brothers. First inquiry comes in for one of young stars and we sell it a tell you all we need to know about them Keep him no matter what we are moving in the right direction.

Re: Man United in for Diop
He may have been a crock but Stuart Pearson (perhaps accidentally) crossed for Saint Trevor's headed goal.
The chances of Phil Jones ever doing anything close to that are miniscule. He can fuck off.

Re: Man United in for Diop
Never going to happen. Even in the future not to Man U.
MP and Husillos are doing pukka. They know to lose Diop not only loses us a world class player but what could be a formidable partnership and we would lose in my basic opinion our centre of defence. The General and The Monster are similar ages, both captains of former clubs and internationals. They looked solid at times and both have a clean cut personality and characters to thrive more as a partnership.
I am sure the potential of the General and Diop together as El Pel set out to begin with, would definitely at any price given Man U the finger.
He will be or can be Real Madrid, Barca or Man City but not if he keeps getting called up nationally.
There is no doubt El Pel has the respect internationally for the style of his gib, love of attacking football, and deep knowledge of the game and an ex defender.
Ole whats his name , at Man U , is simply an ex player of Man U, an idol to many , not a world class manager, like I think we have.

Having a player the Mancs want and telling them to fuck off is a sign of progress. Hopefully.
